Panda Bear Plushie, TUTORIAL

Here is the tutorial for the panda bear plushie. It is so fun and easy you could whip up a couple in the morning. It would make a great baby shower gift or birthday gift. Making it with fleece or flannel would make it SO soft and cuddly.
On with the tutorial.

You will need:
-white felt
-black felt
-pattern (email me at adeelarose@gmail.com for the pattern)
-sewing notions

From white felt cut four body pieces and one snout piece.

From black felt cut eight paw pieces and four ear pieces and if you are making the tail cut out one tail.

First we are going to make the face following this tutorial. Trace the face onto the tissue paper and the snout onto another piece of tissue paper.

Pin, sew and cut the black marks around the eyes.

Pin, sew and cut the big white eye circles.

Lastly pin, sew and cut the pupils. Rip off the excess tissue paper

Now for the snout, pin, sew and cut the nose.

For the mouth, sew on the line with black thread. rip off the excess tissue paper.

now for the paws sew right sides together, flip right side and stuff.

for the ears sew wrong sides together and sew.

Following this tutorial on putting the body together place one ear on the face an inch from the top and one paw an inch from the bottom and place a body piece on top and sew the right side.

repeat with the other two pieces omitting the ear.

Remember we are following this tutorial. Pin the two pieces together placing the last two paws at the bottom an inch from the bottom and the ear an inch from the top facing the face. Sew

turn right side out, stuff and hand sew closed.

Gather the snout and stuff. If you are making a tail do the same thing.

Hand sew onto the front, right bellow the black marks. Put the tail on the center back if you want the tail.

And you are done!

Enjoy!

Bucket Tutorials?

Do you know any fabric bucket tutorials that do not use interfacing?

I would like them to be BIG so that it can hold all my plushies. PLEASE leave a comment below or email me at adeelarose@gmail.com if you know any fabric bucket tutorials. Thank you.

Plushie Obsession

I am seriously obsessed with plushies! I thought I'd show you how much I am obsessed with them by taking a picture of most of the plushies I have made in the past month or two.
Starting from left to right, bottom row. Om Nom plushie, panda bear plushie, tiny wings plushies (2), angry bird plushie.

Top row from left to right. First tiny wings plushie (it was a fail).

Black apple dolls. I made these awhile ago and just forgot to show you, SORRY!

From left to right: dog and nesting doll adapted from this, sleepy kittens.

This was supposed to be a character plushie from a game called doodle jump, but it looks horrible!

This is what it is supposed to look like:

I also did not include my stuffed bombs and all my angry birds because they were given as gifts to family and friends.

Happy sewing!

Panda Bear Plushie

I know, more plushies!!! I am addicted to making plushies. They always turn out so cute and are totally worth it.
After my previous post I was asked to make the pacman plushies (I will be making these in the next week or two. Sorry for the delay, they will take LOTS of time to perfect).

Then I was asked to make a panda bear plushie. I have been wanting to make a bear plushie for awhile now and this finally gave me an excuse to make one so I agreed. I used this as my inspiration and started drawing right away.

I finished it just a half hour ago and was thrilled with the results.

I took the pictures outside too show him in his natural habitat. I know that this is not the giant panda and he is not in china but I just wanted to take advantage of this beautiful weather. It has the cutest legs and puffed out snout that I had to take a picture of it.

I adore its eyes and ears and snout... Well lets just say its face is adorable.

And its body sideways.

I will be posting a tutorial tomorrow on how to make them. They so easy to make you could sew them up as gifts party favors, anything really.
I was also thinking of having a tutorial every Friday and I was thinking of names for it.
-Fabric Friday
-Fabulous Friday
-Fun Friday
-Fabricate Friday
What do you think I should call it?

Happy sewing!

Plushies

I was looking pictures on Google for plushie ideas (yes I am obsessed with plushies) and found this pacman plushie.

I automatically thought I can make that (Thats how I have been thinking lately for everything I see).
Would you like me to post a tutorial on how to make this?
Would you like me to make a tutorial for a certain plushie?
