Wrist Pincushion

I was looking at different stuff on Google and happened upon this tutorial. It looked so pretty I just HAD to try it. I messed up from when you gather the base to when you sew the cushion onto the base. So I just took the base piece and the top piece sewed them together with a gathering stitch (leaving an opening) stuffed it and sewed it closed. then finished it the same as in the tutorial.
I love the blue, it's SO pretty!

Zippy wallet

I love this easy tutorial that Noodle head has. I started making one yesterday and finished it this morning. It turned out great.

Isn't that flower the cutest?! its pretty simple I'm sure you know how I did it.

I used Velcro which was a pain. Usually you think Velcro is easy but not what i had. It has a sticky side on it and I thought it would help hold it down when i sew it. The sticky stuff got on my needle and ruined it. Then I tried again with another needle, same thing. So I had to throw out two needles because of the Velcro. Then i finally decided to use some non-sticky Velcro.

I used a zipper from an old pair of pants that I was gonna throw out. The lining and the exterior fabric is so cute.

The front pocket is perfect for holding cards. I folded that bias tape myself, it was my first time.

Today I wanted to show you some really pretty flowers and hair accessories.

To answer your question Heidi I have been using them for headbands and hair clips. They would look nice on crocheted hats (Crochet today magazine has a cute one i think I'm gonna make) and lots of other crocheted and knitted stuff.

Spring!!!

Spring is here, so give a cheer.
With spring, comes flowers, but still no flowers here. So i sewed some.

Aren't they pretty? I also used those felt flowers for headbands which are beautiful. I also got a flower loom from the thrift store and made some flowers using it.

I have been making some angry birds lately as gifts and trying out my own patterns. This is the animal from an iPod/iPhone game called 'Cut The Rope'. I made a scene like the game. I also made the candy and a little spike as an obstacle I cut out of paper.

Project After Project

This is a LONG post so here I go.

This is my purse that I am in love with. The gathers from the elastic looks soooooo pretty. I actually used a see through scarf that did not match any outfits that I had for the outside (the polka dot). I used white cotton for the lining.

Here is my shawl so far I am using up all my scraps of pink yarn and making a shawl. The shell stitch to me looks flowery.

I love these flower,s they turned out so great. My favourite one is the biggest one.

I made this washcloth using Tunisian crochet. This is my first time using this stitch so I think it turned out really well.

Here is My little lavender bag that I keep in my purse. I will need to make another one for my new purse.

Now last but not least, the boy's wallet I made for my brother. I used fake leather from an old purse. I thought that I could iron leather, apparently not thats how that mark got there. I told my brother that it was a thumb grip. He found out that I ironed it.
